WNBA Star Angel Reese Reveals Disturbing Prison Love Letters Targeting Her Mother

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese has made a shocking revelation on her latest podcast episode, disclosing that prisoners have somehow obtained her mother’s address and begun sending inappropriate romantic correspondence to the family home. The disturbing situation, which Reese detailed on her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, has escalated to the point where law enforcement intervention became necessary to protect her family’s safety and privacy.

Reese, who previously played at the University of Maryland before transferring to LSU where she captured a national championship, explained how the bizarre and frightening situation unfolded during her college years. “When I was in college, somehow these men in prison would send letters – like love letters,” she revealed during the podcast conversation, her voice carrying a mixture of disbelief and concern about the invasive nature of these unwanted communications.

The situation became particularly alarming when the prisoners managed to track down not only Reese’s personal address but also discovered where her mother resided, creating a security nightmare for the entire family. “Somehow one of them found out my address, my mom’s address, and my mom had to do all of that stuff and call the police and all of that,” Reese explained, highlighting the serious measures that had to be taken to address these threatening circumstances.

The content of these letters proved to be deeply disturbing, with the imprisoned individuals making explicit promises and threats about their intentions upon release from custody. “He’s talking about ‘When I get out, I’m going to come to you, I’m going to be with you, we’re going to have kids,'” Reese recounted, her tone reflecting the absurdity and frightening nature of such delusional proclamations from complete strangers behind bars.

Reese’s response to these inappropriate advances was direct and dismissive, as she firmly told the podcast audience, “Sir, please take a seat,” demonstrating her refusal to be intimidated by such bizarre and threatening behavior from individuals she has never met or had any contact with whatsoever.

During the podcast recording, guest Coco Jones injected some levity into the serious discussion by jokingly suggesting that anyone sending such disturbing messages should receive additional prison time for their “scary behavior,” though the underlying security concerns remained very real and troubling for everyone involved.

The WNBA star’s frank assessment of the situation was both succinct and telling: “People are crazy,” Reese declared, summarizing the bewildering reality that public figures often face from obsessed individuals who cross dangerous boundaries in their misguided attempts to establish unwanted personal connections.

Reese’s basketball journey began in her hometown of Baltimore before she spent two successful seasons playing for the Maryland Terrapins, where she established herself as a formidable presence on the court. Her college career reached new heights after transferring to LSU for her junior and senior seasons, where she became a dominant force in women’s college basketball.

During her standout 2022-23 campaign at LSU, Reese led the entire nation in both scoring and rebounding statistics, averaging an impressive 23 points and 15.4 rebounds per game while guiding her team to unprecedented success. Her exceptional performance throughout her collegiate career culminated in averaging 18.6 points and 13.4 rebounds per game, cementing her reputation as one of the most dominant players in recent college basketball history.

The Chicago Sky recognized Reese’s immense talent and potential by selecting her with the seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, bringing her professional basketball dreams to fruition. During her rookie season, she maintained her impressive statistical production by averaging 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game across 34 appearances, though her promising debut campaign was unfortunately cut short due to injury concerns.

Despite achieving remarkable success on the basketball court and building a substantial public profile through her athletic achievements, Reese’s experience with these disturbing letters serves as a stark reminder of the dark side of fame and the serious security challenges that high-profile athletes, particularly young women, must navigate in today’s world.
