A remarkable 70-day journey unfolds as a stray, heavily pregnant cat found on the street transforms into a loving mother caring for her six beautiful kittens.
Meet Nakoma! She was rescued while wandering on the road with a big belly, seemingly close to giving birth. Weighing 8.5 lbs and measuring 19 inches in girth, everyone was curious about how many kittens she would deliver.
After 5 days of being rescued, Nakoma started having contractions, a sign of her impending labor. On the first day, she gave birth to consecutive little kittens. Kitten number 1, a male, weighed 4.5 oz. Kitten number 2, a male, weighed 3.8 oz. Next was kitten number 4, a male weighing 5.3 oz. Kitten number 5, a male, weighed 4.5 oz. Finally, kitten number 6, a female, weighed 4.3 oz.
Kitten number 2 was very fussy and not only bothered me but also irritated its siblings. I recorded some short videos of kitten number 2 being fussy.
On the second day, the battle for a spot on the “milk bar” took place. Why are kittens so adorable when they sleep? They purr and knead, making everyone enchanted.
On the third day, both the mother and the kittens were happy. The tiny tongues were adorable as they nibbled and played.
On the fourth day, the “milk bar” battle continued. Watching the kittens dream was incredibly cute and endearing.
On the twelfth day, the kittens became more playful and adorable than ever.
On the sixteenth day, they struggled for positions on the “milk bar,” even though there was enough room for all of them to drink.
On the seventeenth day, be careful world! Tommy is getting acquainted with walking and exploring the surroundings.
On the twentieth day, Willie is playing around a bit, almost grown already.
On the twenty-second day, Willie remains as cute and lovable as ever.
On the twenty-fourth day, at 24 days old, Davey weighed 1 lb 3.1 oz, Smalls weighed 1 lb 2.0 oz, Willie weighed 1 lb 4.2 oz, Tommy boy weighed 1 lb 2.9 oz, and Buttons weighed 14.0 oz. The kittens are getting better at moving around.
On the twenty-fifth day, a devoted mother and a bunch of adorable kittens. Look at their perky ears!
I just put Buttons back in the tub after letting her explore the bathroom a little. She said, “Let me out of here! I want to explore more!” Buttons is ready to join the sunbathing group and wants to get out of the tub. I think it’s time to let these kittens out of the tub. They continue to explore the world around them and were surprised when Willie and Buttons used the litter box for the first time without any help.
On the twenty-seventh day, Davey shines with his cuteness, enchanting everyone. Smalls reminds everyone to wash their hands thoroughly before touching the kittens.
On the thirty-second day, finally, the kittens understand and enjoy the toys. They have grown remarkably in the past 38 days.
On the fifty-second day, despite still being scared of the vacuum cleaner, they still look cute and precious.
On the seventieth day, Sonny is fast asleep, even though they have created a big mess everywhere, but they are still adorable and lovable creatures that everyone adores.
The journey of Nakoma and these adorable kittens continues as they grow and explore the world around them.
