The abandoned cat found in the parking garage, weak and emaciated

The abandoned cat found in the parking garage, weak and emaciated, continuously cried for help whenever someone approached.

Last night, when I parked my car, I heard a strange noise coming from the underground parking lot. Though faint, I felt it could be the cry for help from an animal in need. So, we grabbed a flashlight and explored the entire parking area. Finally, I found a cat with a sleek black coat hiding under a car.
It was very alert and frantic. The cat retreated deep into the car’s undercarriage, making it difficult for us to approach. Therefore, I scattered some food in a straight line, enticing it to come closer to us. It was evident that the cat had been hungry for days, as it was scared but couldn’t resist the scent of the food.
The cat cautiously approached me step by step. At that moment, I could observe it more closely. It was covered in a sticky substance like oil or mouse glue. It had a foul smell and was sticky to the touch. I wondered what had happened to this poor cat. I put on gloves and quickly captured it.
Upon examining its fur, I noticed it was matted and had a smell similar to adhesive. We brought it home and began the process of bathing. After trying various methods, we decided to use flour to absorb the moisture from the adhesive. Eventually, its fur became clean, bright, and smooth again.
We bathed it several times with warm water. Many parasites and fleas fell off its body. Currently, the cat is being dried in a drying cage. It is fortunate to have encountered us today. I cannot imagine the discomfort it must have endured with its body covered in adhesive. Tomorrow, when it’s bright outside, we will take it to the vet for a health check-up and vaccinations.
