Dream Fetchers: Project Rescue
In the city of Barstow, located in San Bernardino County, California, an evicted family had put their two dogs in a wire cage and left them amidst the pile of old blankets for the morning garbage pickup before they left.

Luckily, Allen Boartfield, a volunteer with Dream Fetchers: Project Rescue, drove to the intersection to save two dogs after knowing that two small dogs were sitting next to a mountain of trash on a street corner in Barstow. Thankfully, when Boartfield arrived, the two pups were still there. They were rushed to Camino Pet Hospital in Irvine, California, where staff could assess their health and determine how they had been neglected.
Dream Fetchers: Project Rescue
Two abandoned dogs were named Treasure and Catch. The dark pup is Treasure, and the little white male pup is Catch. The two dogs tried to stick together, huddling together when they could, but Catch had a cold that required him to be put into isolation for a few days. He will have to wait until his condition improves before he can be bathed and neutered. After a few days, Treasure was ready to be bathed and spayed—and has since transformed into a happy, outgoing pup.
All the staffers hope that the pair of friends will find a loving home together. Never again will Treasure and Catch have to worry about being left in the trash.
