As pet insurance companies register a rise in complex “supervet” procedures, some people are posing the question – are dog owners starting to go too far, putting ailing pets through complex surgery and long recovery periods to keep them going at all costs?
Some think that we are, with quality of life taking a backseat; others argue that as more and more sophisticated treatments become available for pets as well as humans, it is only fair to give it a try.
What do you think – are we really going too far? Are we no longer allowing our dogs to die?
