Playboi Carti has dropped another track exclusively on Instagram. “Play This” is the latest offering from the eccentric rapper’s upcoming album I Am Music, the much-anticipated follow-up to his 2020 critically acclaimed album Whole Lotta Red.

“Play This” follows previously released tracks like “Different Day,” “2024,” “EvilJ0rdan,” “Ketamine,” the Travis Scott collaboration “BACKR00MS,” and “All Red.” Recently, Carti teamed up with the Weeknd for the track “TIMELESS” and brought Abel Tesfaye onstage during his Camp Flog Gnaw performance. Although I Am Music doesn’t yet have an official release date, you can listen to “Play This” below.

Earlier this week, Carti hinted at new music on social media, sharing a screenshot of a brief text conversation.

“Morning! Let’s drop something Friday!!!” one of the messages read. “New Carti Friday.”

As of now, the track is exclusively available on Carti’s Instagram account.

Fans eagerly await the release of I Am Music, Carti’s long-awaited follow-up to his 2020 sophomore album, Whole Lotta Red. During ComplexCon weekend, Carti discussed the album, revealing Kanye West’s involvement.

“Shout out to my n**** Kanye, you know what I’m saying,” Carti told a nightclub audience. “He over here making beats and shit. That album gonna be crazy, I can’t wait to show y’all n***as.”

It’s likely Kanye will serve as a producer, as Carti also announced there would be no guest artists on I Am Music. He shared this while teasing the album’s imminent release date.
