General Hospital spoilers tease Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) floored Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) when he said the DNA test results proved they were father and daughter. In time, Sasha may be able to come to terms with this reality and embrace the fact that she finally knows who her dad is and that hes an upstanding man.
But right now, her heart is broken that she cant be with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), and that shell have to tell him the truth about the horrific week shes had and why their relationship must come to an end.
But we have a sneaking suspicion this storyline is just kicking off versus actually ending. Robert wasnt all that surprised when Sasha burst into his office touting he wasnt her father, despite Holly Suttons (Emma Samms) claims. Could it be that hes not? Is it possible that hes helping to protect her from the man who is actually her father?
General Hospital Spoilers Clearing the Air
On one hand, it doesnt make much sense that Robert would be pretending to be Sashas father. Some fans feel hes entirely too moralistic to lie about something like that and mislead and devastate Sasha.
On the other hand, he could feel there is a legitimate risk to Sashas well-being and that this was the only way around it. However, Robert and Holly did clear the air and have it out with each other over her lying to him all of these years.
Will that scene just fade to black if it comes out that he was in on it the whole time? Is it possible he doesnt know and is just an unwitting asset in another one of Hollys games?
GH Spoilers Claim We Wouldnt Put It Past Holly
Its not reaching at all to suggest that Holly may have looped Robert into this mess and he has no idea that its a lie. Does she know him well enough to know he wouldve confronted the problem right away and insisted on a DNA test? Its likely.
Can she trust that he would use the WSB lab to perform it? Probably so. Shes a professional con artist.
She knows her marks well, especially when they are someone she used to be married to and has adored for years. Still, why put Robert through this and use him to protect Sasha? Why not tell him the truth?
General Hospital Spoilers Who Could It Be?
Its possible that Holly didnt want to take the chance that her plan could be foiled. If her goal is to protect Sasha, she may have been willing to risk everything including her relationship with Robert to ensure her daughter stayed safe.
At the same time, she must know that lying to Robert will only blow back in her face even worse than the pretend version of events that she has been lying all of Sashas life. Letting Robert believe he has a daughter when he doesnt could be devastating.
However, if she tells Robert the truth soon, he may have to make a decision about whether or not he will continue to go along with her scheme if its in Sashas best interest. Will he agree to that? Keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
